What's in the Box? Unboxing a BrickTuned Custom Car Kit

By BrickTuned ·

The Small custom brick-built pickup example, 3D render

You've approved your 3D preview, we've ordered the parts, and your kit is on its way. So what actually arrives? Here's everything in a BrickTuned custom car kit, and what you'll need to build it.

Every part your design needs, bagged by build stage

Your kit contains every part in your approved design, in high-quality compatible bricks. Instead of one big pile, the parts are packed in bags that match the stages of your instructions. Open bag 1, build stage 1, and so on. It keeps the build relaxed, especially on Medium and Large kits with hundreds or thousands of pieces.

Step-by-step instructions (digital)

Your instructions are a step-by-step PDF made for your exact design. Open them on a phone, tablet or computer and zoom in on any step. Digital instructions mean we can design each kit from scratch without printing a custom booklet, and you'll never lose them.

A full parts list

Along with the instructions you get a complete parts list, so you can check every piece. If anything is missing or defective, tell us within 30 days of delivery and we'll send replacements free.

Your display plate (if you added one)

If you chose the optional custom display plate, its parts come with the kit. It's a brick plate with your own text, up to 18 characters, that sits in front of your car. Popular choices are the owner's name, the car's nickname, a plate number or a date.

What you'll need

  • A clear table and a little time. No tools or glue are needed for car kits.
  • A phone, tablet or computer to follow the PDF.
  • Somewhere to show it off when it's done.

How long does building take?

It depends on the size and on you. A Small kit is a satisfying evening build, while a Large kit with its extra detail can fill a weekend. Many people split a big build over a few sessions, stage by stage.

How it ships

Kits ship in their own box to Canada and the US, with shipping charged at cost. In Canada we use Canada Post flat-rate boxes from C$21.99. See the shipping rates for details. If your kit arrives damaged, email us photos within 7 days of delivery and we'll make it right.
